A Paso Robles Wedding Day
Finding a wedding venue that perfectly balances natural beauty with a relaxed vibe is easy on the Central Coast of California. This Summer Wedding at Terra Mia was a perfect example of how a setting can create an unforgettable experience. For this incredible couple, Terra Mia in Paso Robles was the ultimate backdrop for a day that was entirely, beautifully them.
As Paso Robles wedding photographers, getting to capture love stories at Terra Mia is always a treat. But there is something truly magical about a Paso Robles Wedding in the summer—the golden hills are glowing, the vineyards are full and lush, and the warm evening is absolutely perfect for enjoying an outdoor reception without a coat.
Brought to life by an incredible team of local vendors, this late summer wedding was an unforgettable celebration of love and intentional, non-traditional style.
Getting Ready & The “Wedding Entourage”
Right from the start, the bride and groom decided to ditch tradition in favor of what felt right. Instead of a standard bridesmaids and groomsmen lineup, they invited a group of their closest friends to be their “Wedding Entourage.”
There were no matching dresses or identical suits. Instead, their friends wore outfits that showcased their own unique personalities. The entourage got ready together, shared pre-ceremony toasts, and of course brought the ultimate hype-energy to the morning photos. Speaking of style, we have to talk about the groom—he absolutely rocked a custom green suit that perfectly complemented the vibrant, natural tones of the late summer foliage.
Before the festivities began, The Queens Bees worked their magic on hair and makeup, ensuring the bride and her crew looked effortlessly radiant, fresh, and photo-ready for the warm afternoon ahead.
A Romantic First Look in the Willows
One of the most magical spots at Terra Mia is the serene pond surrounded by weeping willow trees. Of course this is exactly where the couple chose to have their first look.
As the groom waited under the cascading leaves, the anticipation was palpable. A huge smile appeared on Joel’s face the moment he turned around to see his Olivia. Having that quiet, intimate moment before the ceremony allowed them to soak in the emotion of the day together. The soft, filtered light through the willow leaves offered a cool, shaded oasis and a fairytale setting for their first portraits as a soon-to-be-married couple.
Vineyard Sunsets and Golden Hour Magic
When the time was right, we snuck away for sunset photos, and late summer in Paso Robles did not disappoint. We headed up the hill into the Terra Mia vineyards just as that iconic, warm golden hour light hit the landscape. The couple didn’t want to miss the party. Therefore, we made the session quick, but with a lot of variety.
We captured stunning, editorial-style portraits of the newlyweds walking through the lush vines and sharing quiet moments under the venue’s historic big oak tree. Additionally, the contrast of the couple against the golden California hills and the sun-drenched vineyards was a photographer’s dream come true. We continued on to the willow trees and dock for some romantic photos with the party as a backdrop. We fished portraits with a quick pause on the bridge with their reflection in the pond. Afterward, it was back to dancing.
An Epic Central Coast Reception Under the Stars
When it was time to party, the vendor team truly outdid themselves to create the ultimate late summer night vibe. Events By Jessie 805 expertly coordinated the entire day, ensuring everything ran flawlessly from sunrise to the final dance.
The reception space was an absolute vision. A gorgeous tent provided by All About Events kept the space feeling intimate, while SLO Party Rentals provided the perfect rentals to bring the couple’s design vision to life. Lori Boe Floral Design created breathtaking, organic floral arrangements that elevated the natural beauty of the space. Guests were treated to a mouth-watering Central Coast staple perfect for a summer night—Old San Luis BBQ. Meanwhile, Mixed Events Bar Service kept the refreshing signature cocktails flowing and the energy high. Finally, Instead of a traditional cake, everyone indulged in a stunning dessert spread by Just Baked Paso.
At last, the sun dipped below the horizon and Epic Entertainment took over the decks. The warm late summer air kept everyone out on the dance floor from the very first song to the very last, capping off a perfect Paso Robles wedding day. Everything was perfect crafted together for a summer wedding at Terra Mia.
